Hello, I’m Paul. I’ve a keen interest in modernist design and a few years ago I decided that a with a its clean, simple modernist design that I wanted a flap clock. Looking at used flap clocks on ebay I noticed there was quite a large number of faulty clocks available. As an electronic engineer specialising in circuit board design, I thought I could probably turn my skills to bringing one of these clocks back to life. After many hours with clocks in bits on my desk, I believe I finally understand how these really work, or more importantly why they don't. I do enjoy the challenge of a faulty clock and, most of all, the reward of bringing one back to its former glory and saving it from the bin.
