There are a number of common faults that occur in the flap clock, all of which can be repaired:

• Day am/pm not automatically advancing.
• Dead clock mechanism
• Thumb wheel adjuster slipping.
• Mechanism unsuccessfully tries to advance day/date/month flaps.
• Flaps sticking.
• Flaps disconnecting from the drum.
